Faculty & Staff International Travel Registration

Faculty and staff of Baldwin Wallace University are required to register their university-related international travel with the Center for Global Exploration. As part of this registration, we may collect a general itinerary, contact information, passport details, emergency contact information etc. 

This registration is not for the approval of travel or to provide travel arrangements but rather to provide the university with travel information so that it can offer pre-travel resources and respond in the event of an emergency. Travel approval is granted on the supervisor/department/dean/chair level following established departmental and university procedures.

Traveling with Students

If BW students are participating in this experience with BW faculty/staff (i.e., international conference, research, etc.) you will indicate these details on the Registration form. The Center for Global Exploration will then be in touch with the students to complete a separate registration form.  Once registered, a member from our office will be in touch with faculty/staff/students with more information. 

International Health Insurance 

Baldwin Wallace encourages all participants to self-enroll in CISI international health insurance. Details on how to self-enroll will be included on your online International Travel Registration application. 

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL YOUR CURRENT US HEALTH INSURANCE
You will need to maintain your current US health insurance to be covered upon your return from abroad. Your current insurance also covers your pre-existing conditions and current prescriptions, if you have any.
