The University College- Dublin
University College Dublin is Ireland's largest and most diversified university. It provides a broad range of Bachelors, Masters, and PhD degrees in five Colleges: the College of Arts and Celtic Studies, the College of Business and Law, the College of Human Sciences, the College of Life Sciences, the College of Engineering, and Mathematical and Physical Sciences. This institution can trace its roots back to the Catholic University of Ireland which was founded in 1854 by Cardinal John Henry Newman. Since then, the university has played a central role in Ireland's advancement as a dynamic and highly successful European state and has established a long and distinguished tradition of service to scholarship and the Irish and international community. Today, UCD is a vibrant, modern university with over 24,000 students. It provides both Irish and international students alike with a supportive and stimulating environment of learning.
UCD is also known for its modern buildings and first-class academic and sporting facilities. Besides aesthetics, UCD provides a busy extracurricular life and students are encouraged to become actively involved in the wide range of social, cultural, and sporting activities available. Also, UCD provides comprehensive student support services, including a student health center, student advisors, and career services.
Mysterious, mystical, and full of cultural nuances, Dublin leaves everyone wanting more. To delve into Dublin, one should simply meander through its many streets and parks. It has become obvious to all that reside there and who visit that through every breath, the Dublin of the past happily resides by the multicultural Dublin of today. Ireland’s capital has become a delightful mishmash that no one should miss out on.
